Snowbuddy Likes You as much as Me!

Snow Much Fun is such an awesome snowman set, and super popular this year too. I made this card with the colours of Whisper White, Pool Party and Real Red which is a fun combination for winter.

The snow was super easy to make. First I cut out a wavy strip of Whisper White using the Big Shot and the Tasteful Trim Die. I then pressed my Versamark Watermark ink pad, sprinkled with Iridescent Ice embossing powder and hear set. I then trimmed the bottom/ends to fit on the card. The snowman glitter was done with Dazzling Details (from the Holiday Mini)

One other thing you might notice (or not notice) is that the snowman has no feet. I stamped the snowman on the white cardstock before gluing the snow and then stamped him again on a seperate piece of white cardstock. The second snowman was cut out, omitting the feet. This way I did not have to cut out the arms since they were already there.

Don't forget the Kinsmen Club craft fair is this Saturday so be sure to stop in and see me. It's at West Ferris Legion from 10 to 6 so be sure to check it out!

Serene Snowflakes...

I have been neglecting my blog again, so sorry. It's been a busy week but I have what will hopefully be a nice, calm and healthy weeks so I will post more.

This card was made with the Serene Snowflakes stamp set (sentiment is from Contempo Christmas) embossed with silver. I absolutely love the Silver Glitter paper. I think it adds a lot of oomph to everything!

Watch your e-mail tomorrow for all the details of the Online Extravaganza starting tomorrow. There should be some fabulous deals but I won't know any of the details before then. If you are up before me check out my website (http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/stephanied/)

Holiday Happiness

Holiday Happiness is a stamp set I got mostly because I absolutely love the Happy Holidays stamp in the set. I pulled it out a few weeks ago determined to use some of the stamps in the set and this is one of the cards I made with the ornament stamp.

This card is super simple only using the colours of Whisper White and Island Indigo. The only embellishments I used were a rhinestone brad, rhinestone jewels and a Island Indigo ruffled ribbon.

My next order is going in next Wednesday the 16th. If there is anything you need to finish making your Christmas cards please let me know before then.

Bright Hopes....

Bright Hopes is easily my favourite stamp set this Christmas! Everytime I go to make a Christmas card for my classes or clubs I keep reaching for that one. It's so simply beautiful and elegant, I think it's a must have for super easy Christmas cards. This one was made using the wreath from Bright Hopes embossed with gold. The accessories are the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, Real Red 1/8th taffeta ribbon, Real Red brads and Pearl Jewels. The sentiment is from the Contempo Christmas stamp set.

I am now beginning to think about my Januarty to April classes so if you have any idea's, or classes you liked in the past please let me know. I am hoping to have a few months of classes worked out by the beginning of December.

Warmest of Wishes

Here is a cute little Halloween card I made using the super cute owl from the Warmest of Wishes Hostess Set in the Holiday Mini Catalogue. Also used on this card are the Polka Dot embossing folder, greeting from Grateful Greetings and Brights Patterns Designer Paper. The lolly pop is secured by a glue dot and the reason the stick fits so nice under the striped border with the owl is because there is a layer of three Stampin Dimensionals in each corner. Not a great card to mail but a nice card to give out.

Pennant Parade...

I'm working really hard to try and post something at least a few times a week so I apologize if I already posted this. This is from a class this past summer using the super cute Pennant Parade stamp set.

Whenever I make a birthday card I like I tend to make a handful of them at the same time so I never run out of cards. I do the same with all the Christmas cards I am designing right now. That way there is no massive rush on December 15th to get my cards done!

Don't forget this months awesome special. Buy two Simply Sent Card Kits and get the matching stamp set. These kits make excellent Christmas gifts for anyone who loves to do quick and easy cards. Check out these kits on Page 192 and 193 of the Idea Book and catalogue.

Gently Falling....

What a beautiful Thanksgiving weekend we just had. It was a great weekend to go camping (which we did) but now I am kind of hoping it snows soon (these fall allergies are killing me!)

This year I am extremely thankful for so many things; my family, my pets and of course this great job where I get to meet so many fabulous people.

If you are looking for a beautiful leaf image stamp set, Gently Falling from the Holiday mini catalogue is the stamp set for you. It is absolutely stunning and it looks great with a variety of fall colours. I sure hope it makes it into the Idea book next July.

This card was made using the colours of Whisper White, More Mustard, Cajun Craze and Early Espresso. The sentiment is from the Pursuit of Happiness stamp set. To embellish the card I used the Square Lattice embossing folder and More Mustard brads.

Faith in Nature

Another beautiful fall day is here so rather than go full force into Christmas card postings (which I'd like to do since I am busy designing for Christmas card classes right now) I thought I would post some of the fall cards I created this month.

This card was one I did in August's Stampers Club featuring the "masking technique. It was super easy to make. All we did was stamp the leaf three times with black ink on three pieces of More Mustard cardstock. I then stamped the leaf on a piece of post it note (a stampers must have tool!) and cut it out on the lines. It's very impotant to be on the line. I placed the post it note on the leaf and sponged More Mustard and Cajun Craze Classic inks. I then removed the "mask" and I have a nice pure mustard leaf.

Congratulations to CeeJay, who won my "Read It" Newsletter draw. I will give you your prize the next time I see you!

Love and Sympathy

I'm working hard at trying not to neglect my blog so here I am posting another card only two days after my last post. I think this must be some sort or record.

This card is super simple to make. First I embossed the flower from the Love and Sympathy with Versamark Watermark and Clear embossing powder on Whisper White cardstock.. I then made a reverse mask by cutting an uneven rectangle out of the center of a Post It note. I laid the Post It note frame down around the flower and sponging inks inside. For this cards I used Pool Part and Island Indigo Classic Ink. I them removed the Post It note frame. The card is finished off with Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon, a Rhinestone brad and Island Indigo Cardstock.

Another Touch of Kindness

Here is another quick and cute card made with the Touch of Kindness stamp set (soon to be gone for good, since the Summer MIni catalogue ends on August 31st.).

We are having a great time at Great Wolf Lodge with Tara and her kids. Can't say I am a big fan of watersides. I thought was dead for sure. No one else was scared so I guess I am a chicken. Mary is fearless! I am sure Pierre is sad he is at home missing all the fun!

Love and Sympathy

Although no one really wants to have to make them, having a really good sympathy stamp set for card making is a must have. I just love this "Love and Sympathy" stamp set because you can make some super quick and easy sympathy cards you when have to have one. The sentiment for the inside is also beautiful:

"Those whom we have loves never really leav us. They live on forever in our hearts and cast their radiant light on our every shadow. - Sylvana Rosetti"

Also used on this card is the Patterns Designer Paper (Perfect Plum), Whisper White Organza Ribbon and a Pale Plum button. Elegant Eggplant, Pale Plum, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper Whte were the colours used on this card.

My Fall Frenzy class is almost full (2 spots left) so if you were wanting to sign up for this please let me know. Your payment for the class is your confirmation. I will hopefully post one of the fabulous samples later this week...if I can ever get myself off the computer and go downstairs to stamp!

Cherry Cobbler!

For todays card I decided to use my VERY favourite colour in the catalogue, but comjpletely neglected in the summer, Cherry Cobbler! I know it can still be used in the summer I just find myself reaching for the brighter reds like Poppy Parade or Real Red. Now that fall is coming (and yes it is coming...leaves are changing out here!) it's time to dig out those deeper colours.

This card was made with the fabulous Four Frames, Elements of Style and Petite Pairs stamp sets. The sentiments in the Petite Pairs stamp set fit perfectly in the Four Frames set so it is a must have if you already have Four Frames (or it's on your wish list!)

Also used on this card are:

-Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding

-Antique brad

-Antique brass brad

-Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder

-Modern Label Punch

Touch of Kindness

Sorry I've been absent a few days but I've had a crazy busy week and I was camping this past weekend (which wasn't anywhere near the horrible, terrifying experience I was expecting it to be...LOL!) I am actually looking forward to camping again someday!

This stamp set, Touch of Kindness" from the Summer Mini is sooooo cute. I just fell in love with this bird bath image and the sayings that go with this stamp set. The colours I used were Real Red, Whisper White and Daffodil Delight. The main image was coloured using a blender pen and classic inks.

Don't forget the Summer Mini ends on August 31st so if there is anything you need in there be sure to get your orders to me by August 20th (this Saturday) or Tuesday August 30th.
