Party Hearty card!

I've been pumping out the birthday cards lately and here is a bright little one I made using the Party Hearty stamp set and the Polka Dot background stamp. I used Tempting Turquoise and Pixie Pink and coloured each hat with Stampin Write markers before stamping. I finished the card off with the Scallop border punch (and look no ribbon!) I use way too much ribbon and I know all of you who take my classes are cursing me when you have to tie a bow...and you thought I couldn't hear you muttering under your breath. I have worked hard to try and reduce the number of knots you all have to tie at upcoming classes and I am sure you will all shower me with praise because of it.

Happy Birthday...from all of us.

I am just loving the All in the Family stamp set...its just so darn cute! Ialso used the Family Phrases stamp set on this card which co-ordinates perfectly with the All in the Family stamp set. I used nice bright colours on this card, Real Red and Tempting Turquoise and I used the Stampin Up Paper Piercing template to pierce th corners.

Stampin Up Deal of the Week:

This weeks deal is the Heart to Heart punch, pictured below. Regular price is $22.95 but the sale price this week only is $15.99. I will be placing an order tomorrow (Tuesday) evening so if this is something you would like, please e-mail or call to place your order!

Razzleberry Upsy Daisy...

This simple little card was made with the super cute Upsy Daisy stamp set. I paired the new In Colour Rich Razzleberry with So Saffron and Whisper White to make this card that is perfect for any occasion. The patterned paper is from the the Razzleberry Designer Paper series and I finished the card with two So Saffron buttons.

Thanks to everyone who came to my Christmas in July class yesterday! Congratulations to Isle R. whose name was drawn to win the Holiday Collection stamp set. I will drop that off to you next time I am in your neighborhood!

Season of Friendship..

Words cannot express how happy I was to see this stamp set in the new catalogue! It originated in the Holiday Mini (2008) and as many of you know most sets from mini's do not make the big catalogue.

For this cards I used Ruby Red, Mellow Moss and Close to Cocoa inks and cardstock. The flowers were stamped on a seperate piece of cardstock, cut out, and placed onto the tree to give the card some dimension (which you can't really see in this scan). The "Birthday Wishes" sentiment is from the Sincere Salutations stamp set. I finished the card off with Mellow Moss Tafetta ribbon.

Stampin Up Deal of the Week:
Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware, page 178, regular price $41.95, sale price this week only $26.99! This is the time to get it if you want this wonderful box of embellishments. Contact me before Saturday to get yours!

Lovely as a Tree...

I know, or at least I hope, fall is still awhile away but I have been working a bit on some autumn projects. This quick and easy card was made by embossing the trees with white embossing powder and sponging autumn colours overtop of it. Black grosgrain and black brads finish the card off nicely. The sentiment is from the super versatile Sincere Salutations stamp set.

Congratulations to Irene who was the only one to comment on my baby card below. She wins a set of new "In Colour" cards.

Eastern Blooms (flower)...

One of a Kind (One of a Kind sentiment) and Boho Backgrounds (dot background) are the stamp sets I used to make this card. I am loving the Taken with Teal and Ruby Red together (I was inspired by the Holiday Lounge designer paper in the new catalogue, which we will be using in my Christmas in July class later this month) I also used our beautiful Eyelet border and corner rounding punch to complete this card.

***Just a date change to let you all know about. I have had a conflict with my Rich Razzleberry Class on the 13th and will be changing the date to Tuesday August 11th, 9:30 until 12. I will also be changing the sign up date to July 25th if you wish to sign up, still 2 spaces left. Full details for the class are in my July 11th post below.

***There is only one space left in my Christmas class so please sign up soon if you would like to join.

Happy New Baby....

Isn't the baby cute? I love this little card I made using the All in the Family and Family Phrases stamp sets. They are so much fun to play with. I also used the Polka Dot backgrounds stamp(still available although it's not pictured in the catalogue) I used our circle punches, scallop circle punch and the new Modern Label punch which is totally cool! I used the new in colour Melon Mambo as well as Whisper White and Pretty in Pink on this card.

Post a comment on this card and I will do a draw on Friday July 10th (8am) to win a set of 12 In Colour blank cards (two of each colour) and envelopes.

Embrace Life....

This is a super simple card I made using the Embrace Life stamp set that takes about 5 minutes to make and is a great card for almost all occassions. I stamped the flower onto Very Vanilla cardstock with Black Staz On ink and coloured them with SU Watercolour pencils. I then used a blender pen to blend the colour. I stamped Embrace Life with black ink and then I layered this vanilla piece onto Soft Suede and Basic Black cardstock. I attached 4 antique brass eyelets, one to each corner and layered onto a Naturals Ivory card. Quick and simple.

I am starting new Stampers clubs in the fall. I will also be starting a new blog just for the members of the stampers club with club projects, instructions as well as some other goodies. If you haven't signed up yet or would like to know more (than what is posted below!) Please contact me!

What is a Stamper Club?
· Do you spend $25 a month on stamping supplies?
· Would you like to get hostess rewards?
· Do you like getting together with friends and making new friends?
· Do you like to make FREE cards?

How a stampers club works is there is a group of eight people who agree to spend $25 (before shipping and tax) out of the catalogue each month for eight months. For one of those months you get to be the hostess and get a minimum $20 free out of the catalogue and a Level 1 hostess set (starting on page 11 in the new catalogue).
Each month we meet either at the hostess’ house or mine where we will make a minimum of two card/projects (this is free!). Hostesses also receive free shipping on their hostess month and I give a discount on some of my other classes I offer outside of the club

We will be making 10 cards (2 each of 5 different designs) and a bonus Christmas project! On the card shown everyone will get to play with my Big Shot and the Texture plates to create the beautiful embossed background.

I will also be doing a draw for all attendees to win a retired but new in box Holiday Collections stamp set. The cost for this class is $30.

Flight of the Butterfly

This is a card similar to one I saw in a magazine awhile back but I changed a few things and re-created it with the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set. I stamped and embossed it on vellum and then used sponge daubers to apply Green Galore, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay ink to the back. When that was dry I carefully cut them out and glued them (just a tiny strip of glue in the center so you don't see the glue through the vellum) onto white cardstock squares that were layered with the co-ordinating colours. I glued little half pearls from the Pretties kit in the center. I think this card is really bright and summery. The best part is that it will be the last time I will have to trim stamped images from this set because there is now a Butterfly Punch (page 187 in the new catalogue) that works perfectly with this set and mine will be here next week!

I would like to thank everyone who came out to my new Catalogue Extravaganza on Saturday. I had a great time and I hope you all did too! The winner of my grand door prize was Mona M! Congratulations Mona! There were a few stamp sets that did not sell in my auction so I thought I would draw names for some of those so I can pass them on to a new home! So below are a list of winners!
  • Grand Prize - Mona M
  • Claudette H. - Merci stamp set
  • Josee S. - Congratulations stamp set
  • Tina C - Darling Dots stamp set

Loads of Love....

Here is a card I made using the Loads of Love and Loads of Love Accessories stamp sets. It has a nice masculine feel, thanks to the Manchester Designer Paper but the dogs in the back are so cute I think it could be for almost anyone. I coloured the image with Stampin Write markers and punched the "driving by" with our circle punches The linen thread and Always Artichoke brads finish off the card.

Post a comment on this card by Wednesday June 24th, 8 am, and I will enter you into a draw to win an assorted package of 20 12 x 12 sheets of retiring Designer Paper. This includes paper from Manchester, Sweet Always, Bella Birds, Rainbow Sherbert, Raspberry Tart and more.

Wonderful You...

Here is a card I made with the soon to be Retiring Wonderful You stamp set and Stems and Silhouettes jumbo wheel. I used Ruby Red, Old Olive, Summer Sun and Naturals White on this card.
The "wonderful you" is stamped on our twill tape with Black Staz On and adds a little texture to the card. It is finished off with a Ruby Red brad.

Congrats to Patti B, who was the only comment on the cards below to win the So Saffron ink pad and package of small grommets.

Last Chance - Pretty Amazing Stamp Set

Here is a cute card I made with the Pretty Amazing stamp set (page 93). It's really quite a girly stamp set but the colours I used (Chocolate Chip, Mellow Moss and Naturals Ivory) definitely make it more subdued. I am loving the Jumbo eyelets lately. This one is Antique Brass and really finishes the card off nicely along with the Mellow Moss Taffeta ribbon.

Save 25 % off of this stamp set if you place your order with me by Sunday June 14th at noon. Regular price is $26.96, sale price is now $20.21. If this stamp set was on your wishlist now is the time to get it.

Club Cards - Raspberry Tart Designer Paper

My new favourite patterned paper and now it's leaving for good. I wish I had discovered how awesome this paper was months ago instead of just a few weeks ago. I hope they have a similar pattern in the new catalogue (July 1st) in the new "in colours" I will scoop it up right away!

Here is the card we made at my club meeting in May (everyone had a choice of our different designer papers) Such a simple design. but it looks so great with almost any pattern of Designer Paper. The stamp we used "My dear kind and wonderful friend" is from the All Holiday stamp set (whichis NOT retiring, thank goodness because I just got it!)

Congratulations to Norma B for winning the $25 gift certificate in my retiring set contest. She got 10 out of 25 right.

Ok, post a comment on these cards (click on the title "Club Card - Raspberry Tart Designer Paper" to post) and I will enter you into a draw to win a new Birthday's Count mini Note Kit on page 208. I will do a draw Wednesday, the 3rd, at 5pm (had to change the time) for a winner. This contest is only open to my current customers. Please remember that I moderate all comments before they are posted to take out the bad words (just kidding, I know most of you won't do that) but it does take a few hours before you will see your comment. Don't forget to put you name in your post so I know who posted or I can't enter you name into the draw.

Cards For Men....

Making cards for the men in our lives is a real challenge for most of us stampers since a lot of us like to use glitter, flower stamps and girly colours on cards.

This card class will give you a bunch of cards that you can use throughout the year, saving you time and letting you focus on the cute cards you all make. We will be making 10 “masculine” cards, 5 designs, 2 of each design. The class is on Sunday June 7th at 1pm. The cost is $25.

There is still room so e-mail me if you would like to sign up.

For every class you take in May and June, you will receive a ballot to win a brand new Full of Life stamp set (pictured on my blog, April 16th post)

Playful Petals....

I have been having some fun playing with the Playful Petals stamp sets, its so much fun to colour. This flower was coloured with Almost Amethyst and Lavender Lace Stampin Write markers. The leaves were coloured with certainly Celery. The card is finished off with Tea Party Designer Paper, a scallop edge punch and the Just For you stamp from the Oval All stamp set in the Mini catalogue. Because we have no amethyst ribbon I dyed the white grosgrain using an Almost Amethyst ink refill (just a few drops) and my Aquapainter.

I love this little saying from the Fifth Avenue Floral Stamp Set (the flower is from that stamp set as well) It's perfect for almost any occassion. Thi scard was mostly made with Baja Breeze, a colour I am really going to miss. In fact this years colours are really fantastic and I am going to miss them all when they are gone at the end of June. But the new "In Colours" should be revealed soon and I am sure I will fall in love with them as well. Be sure to vote in My "In Colour poll. I would love to know which colours you will miss.

2 Sweet Simply Scrappin Kit

This cute little box is something I totally copied, which I don't do very often but it was too cute to resist. It was on the cover of Stampin Success, a magazine all Stampin Up demonstrators get, and I just fell in love with it so I had to buy the 2 Sweet Simply Scrappin kit (page 165) right away. The funny thing was, when I saw this box and scrapbook page I thought they were giving us a preview out of the new catalogue not realizing we had this super cute stuff all along. It's so true that sometimes you don't notice how awesome something is until you see something made with it. I will post the scrapbook page I copied later this month! I love this Scrappin kit so much I am offering 20% off if you order before May 24th! Regular price $23.95, sale price is $19.16 (plus shipping and tax)

I did a draw this morning and Christine Can. won (I had to write part of her last name since I have two Christine C's!) Congratulations and I will drop the Designer Prints off the next chance I get. Don't forget to keep checking back here because I still have lots of goodies I plan to giveaway!

Also don't forget about my Retiring Stamp Set contest. I only have 2 entries so far so their chances to win are pretty good right now. All the details are in my May 12th post!

Playful Petals...

This is a card I made this morning using the Playful Petals and Full of Life (on the dormant list, still available to order even though it is not pictured in the Spring Summer Catalogue) and Tea Party Designer Series Paper. The flowers are embossed with white embossing powder and the "Life Is.." stamp is stamped with Basic Gray. I used Regal Rose wide grosgrain ribbon and silver eyelets to finish off the card.

Post a comment under this post (click on the title, "Playful Petals" to post a comment) and I will do a draw on Wednesday May 20th, 8am, for one person to win the Patterns Pack Designer Series Paper II (pictured on page 18 in the Spring Summer Catalogue) This is a 6 x6 pad of Patterns Designer Series Paper in Regal Rose, Apricot Appeal, Brocade Blue, Basic Gray and Garden Green. It includes 60 sheets, 2 each of 6 double-sided designs. This contest is only open to my current customers and only comments posted under this post will count as an entry, no e-mails please.

Your comments will not be posted until after I moderate them (I know what kind of stuff you would all post on here if I let you...LOL!)

Red Bloomin Beautiful

Bloomin Beautiful...again. I hope you all aren't getting bored! I will work hard to post some other stuff but the flower in this stamp set is just so gorgeous and lots of fun to colour! The colours I used on this card are Whisper White Real Red, Summer Sun and Certainly Celery. The bee stamp and the Red Gingham ribbon add the perfect touch!
There is still room left in my Spring Fling Class. I will be doing a draw to give away all five of my class samples! 5 people will leave with one extra project. See all the details for the class on my May 8th post!

Retirement List Contest

Ok this is your chance to predict the future and win a great prize.
As many of you know on June 1st Stampin Up will announce it's retirement list. This is a list of stamp sets that will not make it into the new catalogue starting on July 1st (although this stamp sets will be available until June 30th)
E-mail me a list of 25 stamp sets in the Spring Summer catalogue that you think will retire with the words "Retirement Contest" in the subject line. The person with the most right will win a $25 gift certificate! All e-mail entries must be in to me by May 30th at 5pm and this contest is only open to my current customers. I will confirm when I receive your e-mail. The person with the most right will win! I will announce the winner on my blog on June 1st!
Happy guessing!

Live Love and Laugh...

I thought I would post a card with gold embossing for a change. I'm not a big "embosser" but I do love the look of it when I do pull out my heat tool. This card was made with the Forever Flowers wheel and the Live, Laugh & Love stamp in the It's Your Birthday stamp set. Both were stamped with Versamark watermark and embossed with gold. The colouring on the Forever Flowers was done with a Ruby Red and Mellow Moss Stampin Write Markers.
I think this card layout and colourse would look great re-done with Christmas stamps, something I am sure to do later this year once we know which stamps are staying and which are going!
Congratulations to Irene L who won the Regal Rose Craft ink pad and ink refill. I will give them to her the next time I see her. Be sure to be paying attention to my blog to see my next giveaway!

Bloomin Beautiful yet again! Club Card

Another card we did at our club meeting two weeks ago. Of course I used my new favourite stamp set, Bloomin Beautiful! On this card I used the Top Note die with some Walk in the Park Designer Paper (which you could get FREE if you purchase three other designer papers this month!) The poppies are coloured with Ruby Red and Cameo Coral Stampin Write markers and a Blender Pen with Kiwi Kiss ink. The black brads, ribbon and card base make everything pop!
Ok we are going to try this give-a-away again. This time just send me an e-mail to enter you into the contest to win a free Regal Rose Craft ink pad and ink refill. I think my e-mail is working again since I am now receiving junk e-mail and this will be a great way to test it. Just put Regal Rose Craft ink pad in the subject line. You have until tomorrow night to send me an e-mail and I will do a draw Tuesday morning. I will send a quick response to you when I get your e-mail so if you don't hear from me, try again.

Spring Fling Class...

Here is a little preview of my Spring Fling Class on Sunday May 24th at my place. Pictured are three of the items we will be making: a picture frame, a sunflower box and a notecard box (with 5 notecards). We will also be making a stamped candle (not the candle itself) and a notecard kit
in a tin. Please call to sign up for this class as my e-mail is onthe fritz and I haven't received any since the weekend. Don't forget that for every class you take in May and June gets you a ballot to win a brand new Full of Life stamp set (pictured in my April 16th posting)! Cost for this class is $25.
Because my e-mail is not working I am holding on my draw for the Regal Rose Craft ink pad and ink refill. Once my e-mail is working I will re-issue that draw, those of you who e-mailed me will be entered.

Club Card - Great Friend and Oval All...

This is one of the cards we did at our April club meeting using a technique called Faux silk (it basically gived the look of raw silk when you see it in person!) I used the Great friends and Oval All stamp sets from the Occasions mini catalogue. The ink colours we used were Regal Rose, Kiwi Kiss, Pretty in Pink and Pink Pirouette. The patterned paper is from Bella Rose (am I going to miss this paper or what. I hope they save the design and just change the colours in the new catalogue this summer!) We also used a corner ticket punch and the new scallop oval punch in the Occasions mini.

Nursery Necessities Sailboat card

Such a cute little baby card! Nursery Necessities makes the best cards for babie and I am sure it would be great in a scrapbook as well. For this card I used Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink and Barely Banana cardstock and inks. The silver eyelet, pink tafetta ribbon and scallop edge finish off this card perfectly.
In the spirit of pink I am giving away a Regal Rose craft ink pad and ink refill to one of you who post a comment on todays card. I will do a draw on May 8th. I will post the winner then. If there is only one comment you of course win! You must be a currant customer of mine to win. If you are posting with a fancy code name please drop me an e-mail so I know who you are!

Wonderful Watercolours

As soon as I saw this stamp set in the catalogue I knew this was a must have for me, daisies are my absolute favourite flowers (followed by tulips and daffodils in case you were wondering) It's a two step stamping set, which means there is an outline image and a solid image and the stamp set has a bit of a learning curve to use. Unless of course you already own a Stamp-a-ma-jig, which makes stamping this card a breeze. To make this card I used Certainly Celery, Barley Banana and Apricot Appeal which look very fresh and "springy" to me. I also used the Eyelet Border punch as well as Basic Gray Classic ink for the sentiment.

Bloomin Beautiful Again....

This is my new favourite card with my new favourite stamp set. The Cameo Coral (a very neglected colour in my collection) and the Basic Black are a stunning colour combination (in my own opinion) The flower is stamped with Black Staz On three times and coloured with Cameo Coral, Ruby Red, Close to Cocoa and Mellow Moss Stampin Write Markers. The word "bloom" is embossed with white embossing powder and the black and white gingham ribbon adds the perfect touch to the card.

Blooming With Love...Club card

This card is one of the cards my club did with the stamp set "Blooming With Love" It's almost Mother's Day so I figured I should squeeze at least one card in before the big event. This stamp set is so much fun to colour (something I am really loving to do lately) We used Stampin Write markers to colour the flowers but we used an Aquapainted with Going Gray Classic ink to colour the wheelbarrow. The card base was made with Going Gray textured cardstock and the cardstock layers were So Saffron and Pretty in Pink. I used Natural White cardstock because it is a bit heavier than Whisper White and takes the watercolouring well without warping.
