Stocking Builder Punch

To the left is one of the cards we made at my Stocking Builder Punch class a few weeks ago. For this card I used the colours of Early Espresso and Crumb Cake. All the designer paper is from the Frostwood Lodge Series in the Holiday Mini. The sentiment is from the Four the Holidays stamp set in the Idea Book. For accessories I used Quilted Satin Ribbon, a jumbo chocolate chip brad, Designer Frames embossing folder and Square Lattice embossing folder.

Sign up deadline for next Saturdays class is Tuesday. Please be sure to let me know by then if you wish to attend as I will be cutting out all the card kits on Wednesday and won't have time to cut extra cards kits before the weekend.

Warmest of Wishes

Here is a cute little Halloween card I made using the super cute owl from the Warmest of Wishes Hostess Set in the Holiday Mini Catalogue. Also used on this card are the Polka Dot embossing folder, greeting from Grateful Greetings and Brights Patterns Designer Paper. The lolly pop is secured by a glue dot and the reason the stick fits so nice under the striped border with the owl is because there is a layer of three Stampin Dimensionals in each corner. Not a great card to mail but a nice card to give out.

Pennant Parade...

I'm working really hard to try and post something at least a few times a week so I apologize if I already posted this. This is from a class this past summer using the super cute Pennant Parade stamp set.

Whenever I make a birthday card I like I tend to make a handful of them at the same time so I never run out of cards. I do the same with all the Christmas cards I am designing right now. That way there is no massive rush on December 15th to get my cards done!

Don't forget this months awesome special. Buy two Simply Sent Card Kits and get the matching stamp set. These kits make excellent Christmas gifts for anyone who loves to do quick and easy cards. Check out these kits on Page 192 and 193 of the Idea Book and catalogue.

Gently Falling....

What a beautiful Thanksgiving weekend we just had. It was a great weekend to go camping (which we did) but now I am kind of hoping it snows soon (these fall allergies are killing me!)

This year I am extremely thankful for so many things; my family, my pets and of course this great job where I get to meet so many fabulous people.

If you are looking for a beautiful leaf image stamp set, Gently Falling from the Holiday mini catalogue is the stamp set for you. It is absolutely stunning and it looks great with a variety of fall colours. I sure hope it makes it into the Idea book next July.

This card was made using the colours of Whisper White, More Mustard, Cajun Craze and Early Espresso. The sentiment is from the Pursuit of Happiness stamp set. To embellish the card I used the Square Lattice embossing folder and More Mustard brads.

Faith in Nature

Another beautiful fall day is here so rather than go full force into Christmas card postings (which I'd like to do since I am busy designing for Christmas card classes right now) I thought I would post some of the fall cards I created this month.

This card was one I did in August's Stampers Club featuring the "masking technique. It was super easy to make. All we did was stamp the leaf three times with black ink on three pieces of More Mustard cardstock. I then stamped the leaf on a piece of post it note (a stampers must have tool!) and cut it out on the lines. It's very impotant to be on the line. I placed the post it note on the leaf and sponged More Mustard and Cajun Craze Classic inks. I then removed the "mask" and I have a nice pure mustard leaf.

Congratulations to CeeJay, who won my "Read It" Newsletter draw. I will give you your prize the next time I see you!

Love and Sympathy

I'm working hard at trying not to neglect my blog so here I am posting another card only two days after my last post. I think this must be some sort or record.

This card is super simple to make. First I embossed the flower from the Love and Sympathy with Versamark Watermark and Clear embossing powder on Whisper White cardstock.. I then made a reverse mask by cutting an uneven rectangle out of the center of a Post It note. I laid the Post It note frame down around the flower and sponging inks inside. For this cards I used Pool Part and Island Indigo Classic Ink. I them removed the Post It note frame. The card is finished off with Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon, a Rhinestone brad and Island Indigo Cardstock.

Another Touch of Kindness

Here is another quick and cute card made with the Touch of Kindness stamp set (soon to be gone for good, since the Summer MIni catalogue ends on August 31st.).

We are having a great time at Great Wolf Lodge with Tara and her kids. Can't say I am a big fan of watersides. I thought was dead for sure. No one else was scared so I guess I am a chicken. Mary is fearless! I am sure Pierre is sad he is at home missing all the fun!

Love and Sympathy

Although no one really wants to have to make them, having a really good sympathy stamp set for card making is a must have. I just love this "Love and Sympathy" stamp set because you can make some super quick and easy sympathy cards you when have to have one. The sentiment for the inside is also beautiful:

"Those whom we have loves never really leav us. They live on forever in our hearts and cast their radiant light on our every shadow. - Sylvana Rosetti"

Also used on this card is the Patterns Designer Paper (Perfect Plum), Whisper White Organza Ribbon and a Pale Plum button. Elegant Eggplant, Pale Plum, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper Whte were the colours used on this card.

My Fall Frenzy class is almost full (2 spots left) so if you were wanting to sign up for this please let me know. Your payment for the class is your confirmation. I will hopefully post one of the fabulous samples later this week...if I can ever get myself off the computer and go downstairs to stamp!

Cherry Cobbler!

For todays card I decided to use my VERY favourite colour in the catalogue, but comjpletely neglected in the summer, Cherry Cobbler! I know it can still be used in the summer I just find myself reaching for the brighter reds like Poppy Parade or Real Red. Now that fall is coming (and yes it is coming...leaves are changing out here!) it's time to dig out those deeper colours.

This card was made with the fabulous Four Frames, Elements of Style and Petite Pairs stamp sets. The sentiments in the Petite Pairs stamp set fit perfectly in the Four Frames set so it is a must have if you already have Four Frames (or it's on your wish list!)

Also used on this card are:

-Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding

-Antique brad

-Antique brass brad

-Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder

-Modern Label Punch

Touch of Kindness

Sorry I've been absent a few days but I've had a crazy busy week and I was camping this past weekend (which wasn't anywhere near the horrible, terrifying experience I was expecting it to be...LOL!) I am actually looking forward to camping again someday!

This stamp set, Touch of Kindness" from the Summer Mini is sooooo cute. I just fell in love with this bird bath image and the sayings that go with this stamp set. The colours I used were Real Red, Whisper White and Daffodil Delight. The main image was coloured using a blender pen and classic inks.

Don't forget the Summer Mini ends on August 31st so if there is anything you need in there be sure to get your orders to me by August 20th (this Saturday) or Tuesday August 30th.

Build a Blossom

Isn't this Build a Blossom stamp set and matching punch super cute? I have bought this stamp set back in April but I have been so busy it has sat neglected on my shelf. I finally pulled it out and made this beautiful little flower (with Pink Pirouette and Pretty in Pink) The center of the flower was made with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and a Pearl Jewel. Also used on this card is a sentiment from Herb Expression, Ric Rac from the Sizzix Tasteful Trim die and Soft Suede cardstock.

Kidoodles - Thanks a Bunch!

The Kidoodles stamp set was one that just jumped out at me when I first saw the new catalogue. Who can resist this super cute little monkey? To make this card I used Soft Sued and Daffodil Delight. The trim is from the Sizzix die Tasteful Trim and the the only embellishment I used are Daffodil Delight from the Subtles brads. The "you're the best" sentiment is from one of my favourite new sentiment sets, Friendly Phrases.

I have to admit when I first saw the catalogue I though it was really nice. Now a month into it my wishlist is much longer. I finally took the time to look at the different samples in the book (very dangerous indeed!) and ended up with an extra long wishlist! For example the card sample on page 149 (heartfelt thanks in the middle) and the sample on page 157 (the card on the right) has now added the stamp set Raining Flowers (page 11)to my Must Have list. There are even more fabulous samples online.

Be sure to let me know which stamp sets are growing on you as you notice the samples in the new catalogue.

Button Buddies Vase...

One of my favourite new stamp sets is definitely Button Buddies. I got it because it has such a cute pig image but playing with the stamp set I found so much more. I love this vase, using Daffodil Delight flower buttons.

This card was made with Button Buddies stamp set, Daffodil Delight buttons, White Bakers Twine, Night of Navy brads, Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White cardstock, Night of Navy and Old Olive Classic inks and Daffodil Delight Designer Patterns paper.

Be sure to check out my updated class list: http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/stephanied/

I've added some new classes for September, October and December. November is still being worked out!

Love and Care Hostess stamp set...

Here is a card I made for a wedding we will be going to. The flowers are from the hostess set in the Summer Mini called Love and Care. The only way to get this hostess set is by hosting a workshop before August 31st reaching $200 or more in sales or placing a $200 order for yourself.

Also used on this card: Wisteria Wonder and Certainly Celery Stampin Write Markers, Pearl Jewels, Smooch Illuminate Top Coat, and butterfly from the Beautiful Wings embosslit. The sentiment "Happiness Always" is from a retired set from two years ago that I can't seem to part with.

Just Beleive in Wisteria Wonder...

Here is a card we did at my open house on July 9th. We used Just Believe, Four Frame and for accessories used the Decorative Label Punch, a Filigree brad and the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.

Still just playing with blogger, trying to get it to post from home.

Pennant Parade

I know all of you who were at my New Catalogue Extravaganza have seen and made this card but it's been such a busy summer I really haven't sat down to make a lot of cards. I did make two yesterday but I have not taken any pictures of them yet so maybe I will post one tomorrow!

I have been having nothing but problems with blogger so hopefully I can post this from the library this afternoon (if you see this, it worked!) My computer has gone through quite the series of upgrades so I am hoping it's one of those I can "undo" to fix the problems.
