Vintage Vogue is ona simply elegant stamp set and it really looks terrific when you pair it up with the En Francais background stamp and the Sincere Salutations sentiments stamp set. For this card I used the colours Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant and Very Vanilla.To give the flowers the two tone look I first inked the stamp in the lighter ink colour, Perfect Plum. I then rolled the edges in the darker colour of Elegant Eggplant. If you have wood mounted stamps and want to avoid the ink staining on the blocks you can use a sponge dauber to add the darker colour. This technique (Rock and Roll) looks great with other colour combinations such as:
- Bashful Blue and Marina Mist
- Certainly Celery and Old Olive
- Peach Parfait and Tangerine Tango
- Blushing Bride and Cherry Cobbler
Not a big fan of purple but I really like this card with the rich purple colours,the shading effects really add to it along with the rounded corners of the card. I must start doing that to more cards.
