A Little Birdie Told Me....

Birds are so "in" this year I thought I should probably bring out some of my bird stamps and start playing with them. This little bird is from the "A Little Birdie Told Me" stamp set and I used the oval punches as well as the oval coluzzle in the catalogue to cut the larger ovals around the bird. I love the look of the Jumbo eyelets on the card.

Thoughts of You Card Class

Today's card is one of the 6 cards we will be making in my "Thoughts of You" card class on March 1st. We will be making sympathy, get well and just plain old thinking of you cards. There will be a variety of sentiments available in case you need to turn one of them into a birthday/thank you card. I think the card on the left would make a great birthday card for men. There is still a couple of spaces left so e-mail me to sign up. Cost is $30.
Check out my SU website for an updated schedule of my classes in April and May.

"In Colours" Eastern Bloom card

I thought I would use the usually brightly coloured Eastern Blooms set and try making it a bit darker. Turns out I think this colours look good together. In fact now that I have been stamping so long, I am losing my fear of colour. I use to make cards usually with only two different colours, but now it's fun to put a bunch of colours together and find out I actually like them. I am going to have to challange myself more this way.
Supplies to Make This Card:
  • Eastern Blooms stamp set
  • Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point, Baja Breeze and Very Vanilla cardstock
  • Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point and Baja Breeze Classic Ink
  • Chit Chat rub ons (thanks for being there)
  • Paper Piercer
  • 1/2" circle punch

Sale-a-bration time!

I just have to say first of all; a big thank you to everyone who came to the new catalogue lauch party yesterday. I had a lot of fun and I hope you all did too! And congratulations to Debbie W who won the door prize.
Today's card is one of the cards we made with the new Sale-a-bration stamp sets (Congrats and Botanical Blooms) yesterday morning. I know Tangerine Tango and Regal Rose probably isn't at the top of everyone's favourite colour combinations but I am loving the orange and pink together.
Now that Sale-a-bration has started, every $60 order you place, before shipping and tax, you get to choose one item out of the Sale-a-bration catalogue. It has 4 stamp sets, a ribbon bundle and designer paper. Not only that but if you place an order through my website http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/stephanied/ you will also receive a free catalogue with your order.
