Snowbuddy Likes You as much as Me!

Snow Much Fun is such an awesome snowman set, and super popular this year too. I made this card with the colours of Whisper White, Pool Party and Real Red which is a fun combination for winter.

The snow was super easy to make. First I cut out a wavy strip of Whisper White using the Big Shot and the Tasteful Trim Die. I then pressed my Versamark Watermark ink pad, sprinkled with Iridescent Ice embossing powder and hear set. I then trimmed the bottom/ends to fit on the card. The snowman glitter was done with Dazzling Details (from the Holiday Mini)

One other thing you might notice (or not notice) is that the snowman has no feet. I stamped the snowman on the white cardstock before gluing the snow and then stamped him again on a seperate piece of white cardstock. The second snowman was cut out, omitting the feet. This way I did not have to cut out the arms since they were already there.

Don't forget the Kinsmen Club craft fair is this Saturday so be sure to stop in and see me. It's at West Ferris Legion from 10 to 6 so be sure to check it out!

Serene Snowflakes...

I have been neglecting my blog again, so sorry. It's been a busy week but I have what will hopefully be a nice, calm and healthy weeks so I will post more.

This card was made with the Serene Snowflakes stamp set (sentiment is from Contempo Christmas) embossed with silver. I absolutely love the Silver Glitter paper. I think it adds a lot of oomph to everything!

Watch your e-mail tomorrow for all the details of the Online Extravaganza starting tomorrow. There should be some fabulous deals but I won't know any of the details before then. If you are up before me check out my website (http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/stephanied/)

Holiday Happiness

Holiday Happiness is a stamp set I got mostly because I absolutely love the Happy Holidays stamp in the set. I pulled it out a few weeks ago determined to use some of the stamps in the set and this is one of the cards I made with the ornament stamp.

This card is super simple only using the colours of Whisper White and Island Indigo. The only embellishments I used were a rhinestone brad, rhinestone jewels and a Island Indigo ruffled ribbon.

My next order is going in next Wednesday the 16th. If there is anything you need to finish making your Christmas cards please let me know before then.

Bright Hopes....

Bright Hopes is easily my favourite stamp set this Christmas! Everytime I go to make a Christmas card for my classes or clubs I keep reaching for that one. It's so simply beautiful and elegant, I think it's a must have for super easy Christmas cards. This one was made using the wreath from Bright Hopes embossed with gold. The accessories are the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, Real Red 1/8th taffeta ribbon, Real Red brads and Pearl Jewels. The sentiment is from the Contempo Christmas stamp set.

I am now beginning to think about my Januarty to April classes so if you have any idea's, or classes you liked in the past please let me know. I am hoping to have a few months of classes worked out by the beginning of December.

For accessories I used Quilted Satin Ribbon, a jumbo chocolate chip brad, Designer Frames embossing folder and Square Lattice embossing folder.

Warmest of Wishes

Here is a cute little Halloween card I made using the super cute owl from the Warmest of Wishes Hostess Set in the Holiday Mini Catalogue. Also used on this card are the Polka Dot embossing folder, greeting from Grateful Greetings and Brights Patterns Designer Paper. The lolly pop is secured by a glue dot and the reason the stick fits so nice under the striped border with the owl is because there is a layer of three Stampin Dimensionals in each corner. Not a great card to mail but a nice card to give out.

Pennant Parade...

I'm working really hard to try and post something at least a few times a week so I apologize if I already posted this. This is from a class this past summer using the super cute Pennant Parade stamp set.

Whenever I make a birthday card I like I tend to make a handful of them at the same time so I never run out of cards. I do the same with all the Christmas cards I am designing right now. That way there is no massive rush on December 15th to get my cards done!

Don't forget this months awesome special. Buy two Simply Sent Card Kits and get the matching stamp set. These kits make excellent Christmas gifts for anyone who loves to do quick and easy cards. Check out these kits on Page 192 and 193 of the Idea Book and catalogue.

Gently Falling....

What a beautiful Thanksgiving weekend we just had. It was a great weekend to go camping (which we did) but now I am kind of hoping it snows soon (these fall allergies are killing me!)

This year I am extremely thankful for so many things; my family, my pets and of course this great job where I get to meet so many fabulous people.

If you are looking for a beautiful leaf image stamp set, Gently Falling from the Holiday mini catalogue is the stamp set for you. It is absolutely stunning and it looks great with a variety of fall colours. I sure hope it makes it into the Idea book next July.

This card was made using the colours of Whisper White, More Mustard, Cajun Craze and Early Espresso. The sentiment is from the Pursuit of Happiness stamp set. To embellish the card I used the Square Lattice embossing folder and More Mustard brads.

Faith in Nature

Another beautiful fall day is here so rather than go full force into Christmas card postings (which I'd like to do since I am busy designing for Christmas card classes right now) I thought I would post some of the fall cards I created this month.

This card was one I did in August's Stampers Club featuring the "masking technique. It was super easy to make. All we did was stamp the leaf three times with black ink on three pieces of More Mustard cardstock. I then stamped the leaf on a piece of post it note (a stampers must have tool!) and cut it out on the lines. It's very impotant to be on the line. I placed the post it note on the leaf and sponged More Mustard and Cajun Craze Classic inks. I then removed the "mask" and I have a nice pure mustard leaf.

Congratulations to CeeJay, who won my "Read It" Newsletter draw. I will give you your prize the next time I see you!

Love and Sympathy

I'm working hard at trying not to neglect my blog so here I am posting another card only two days after my last post. I think this must be some sort or record.

This card is super simple to make. First I embossed the flower from the Love and Sympathy with Versamark Watermark and Clear embossing powder on Whisper White cardstock.. I then made a reverse mask by cutting an uneven rectangle out of the center of a Post It note. I laid the Post It note frame down around the flower and sponging inks inside. For this cards I used Pool Part and Island Indigo Classic Ink. I them removed the Post It note frame. The card is finished off with Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon, a Rhinestone brad and Island Indigo Cardstock.

Another Touch of Kindness

Here is another quick and cute card made with the Touch of Kindness stamp set (soon to be gone for good, since the Summer MIni catalogue ends on August 31st.).

We are having a great time at Great Wolf Lodge with Tara and her kids. Can't say I am a big fan of watersides. I thought was dead for sure. No one else was scared so I guess I am a chicken. Mary is fearless! I am sure Pierre is sad he is at home missing all the fun!

Love and Sympathy

Although no one really wants to have to make them, having a really good sympathy stamp set for card making is a must have. I just love this "Love and Sympathy" stamp set because you can make some super quick and easy sympathy cards you when have to have one. The sentiment for the inside is also beautiful:

"Those whom we have loves never really leav us. They live on forever in our hearts and cast their radiant light on our every shadow. - Sylvana Rosetti"

Also used on this card is the Patterns Designer Paper (Perfect Plum), Whisper White Organza Ribbon and a Pale Plum button. Elegant Eggplant, Pale Plum, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper Whte were the colours used on this card.

My Fall Frenzy class is almost full (2 spots left) so if you were wanting to sign up for this please let me know. Your payment for the class is your confirmation. I will hopefully post one of the fabulous samples later this week...if I can ever get myself off the computer and go downstairs to stamp!

Cherry Cobbler!

For todays card I decided to use my VERY favourite colour in the catalogue, but comjpletely neglected in the summer, Cherry Cobbler! I know it can still be used in the summer I just find myself reaching for the brighter reds like Poppy Parade or Real Red. Now that fall is coming (and yes it is coming...leaves are changing out here!) it's time to dig out those deeper colours.

This card was made with the fabulous Four Frames, Elements of Style and Petite Pairs stamp sets. The sentiments in the Petite Pairs stamp set fit perfectly in the Four Frames set so it is a must have if you already have Four Frames (or it's on your wish list!)

Also used on this card are:

-Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding

-Antique brad

-Antique brass brad

-Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder

-Modern Label Punch

Touch of Kindness

Sorry I've been absent a few days but I've had a crazy busy week and I was camping this past weekend (which wasn't anywhere near the horrible, terrifying experience I was expecting it to be...LOL!) I am actually looking forward to camping again someday!

This stamp set, Touch of Kindness" from the Summer Mini is sooooo cute. I just fell in love with this bird bath image and the sayings that go with this stamp set. The colours I used were Real Red, Whisper White and Daffodil Delight. The main image was coloured using a blender pen and classic inks.

Don't forget the Summer Mini ends on August 31st so if there is anything you need in there be sure to get your orders to me by August 20th (this Saturday) or Tuesday August 30th.

Build a Blossom

Isn't this Build a Blossom stamp set and matching punch super cute? I have bought this stamp set back in April but I have been so busy it has sat neglected on my shelf. I finally pulled it out and made this beautiful little flower (with Pink Pirouette and Pretty in Pink) The center of the flower was made with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and a Pearl Jewel. Also used on this card is a sentiment from Herb Expression, Ric Rac from the Sizzix Tasteful Trim die and Soft Suede cardstock.

Thursday, August 4, 2011

Kidoodles - Thanks a Bunch!

The Kidoodles stamp set was one that just jumped out at me when I first saw the new catalogue. Who can resist this super cute little monkey? To make this card I used Soft Sued and Daffodil Delight. The trim is from the Sizzix die Tasteful Trim and the the only embellishment I used are Daffodil Delight from the Subtles brads. The "you're the best" sentiment is from one of my favourite new sentiment sets, Friendly Phrases.

I have to admit when I first saw the catalogue I though it was really nice. Now a month into it my wishlist is much longer. I finally took the time to look at the different samples in the book (very dangerous indeed!) and ended up with an extra long wishlist! For example the card sample on page 149 (heartfelt thanks in the middle) and the sample on page 157 (the card on the right) has now added the stamp set Raining Flowers (page 11)to my Must Have list. There are even more fabulous samples online.

Be sure to let me know which stamp sets are growing on you as you notice the samples in the new catalogue.

Button Buddies Vase...

One of my favourite new stamp sets is definitely Button Buddies. I got it because it has such a cute pig image but playing with the stamp set I found so much more. I love this vase, using Daffodil Delight flower buttons.

This card was made with Button Buddies stamp set, Daffodil Delight buttons, White Bakers Twine, Night of Navy brads, Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White cardstock, Night of Navy and Old Olive Classic inks and Daffodil Delight Designer Patterns paper.

Be sure to check out my updated class list: http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/stephanied/

I've added some new classes for September, October and December. November is still being worked out!

Love and Care Hostess stamp set...

Here is a card I made for a wedding we will be going to. The flowers are from the hostess set in the Summer Mini called Love and Care. The only way to get this hostess set is by hosting a workshop before August 31st reaching $200 or more in sales or placing a $200 order for yourself.

Also used on this card: Wisteria Wonder and Certainly Celery Stampin Write Markers, Pearl Jewels, Smooch Illuminate Top Coat, and butterfly from the Beautiful Wings embosslit. The sentiment "Happiness Always" is from a retired set from two years ago that I can't seem to part with.

Just Beleive in Wisteria Wonder...

Here is a card we did at my open house on July 9th. We used Just Believe, Four Frame and for accessories used the Decorative Label Punch, a Filigree brad and the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.

Still just playing with blogger, trying to get it to post from home.

Pennant Parade

I know all of you who were at my New Catalogue Extravaganza have seen and made this card but it's been such a busy summer I really haven't sat down to make a lot of cards. I did make two yesterday but I have not taken any pictures of them yet so maybe I will post one tomorrow!

I have been having nothing but problems with blogger so hopefully I can post this from the library this afternoon (if you see this, it worked!) My computer has gone through quite the series of upgrades so I am hoping it's one of those I can "undo" to fix the problems.

Tuesday, July 26, 2011

So Cool of You...

I'm still madly in love with my Sunny Fun stamp set. I am especially loving that I can use it with my nice Brights and In Colour Stampin Write markers, especially since I am already planning my fall and winter classes and thinking of idea's using the richer darker colours that come with the season.

I haven't had a full day at home yet to sit down and finalize the classes but I promise you, in my head, these are fabulous classes!

Saturday, July 23, 2011

Herb Expressions...

I know this stamp set has been around for a while but it's new to me because I just got it. Todays card is a super quick one I made using the Thyme image from the stamp set. The one thing I really love about this stamp set is that it is super easy to colour. I know some of you out there HATE colouring (although I can't imagine why) so this one is quite easy to colour.

I know I said I would have my updated class schedule up by the end of this week but obviously that hasn't happened. I do have all my Christmas card classes worked out but I am still playing around with what I want to do in September. I do know it will be on September 24th but hopefully I will have time tomorrow to work it out and post out the schedule for the rest of the year.

Button Buddies

As soon as I saw Button Buddies in the new catalogue I knew I had to have it. I just LOVE pigs. In fact my house was once full of pig pictures, figurines and stuffed animals. Because I loved pigs so much people bought me every pig thing they could find and it just became too much so it's no longer out.

I don't have any traditional baby sets so I thought this pig would make a super cute baby girl card. The sentiment is from Friendly Phrases. Also used on this card is a pinking border from the Sizzix Bigz XL Tasteful Trim, Pretty in Pink satin ribbon, Sizzix Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Pretty in Pink button, and a 5/16 white brad. The colours used are Whisper White, Pretty in Pink and Pink Pirouette.

I sure hope I haven't posted this card yet but if I did I apologize. I'm pretty tired from spending my days painting! Some of you may remcognize this card from our stampers club class in June but I have not had a chance to take pictures of any new cards. I have been working hard on my Color Crazy class this Saturday so hopefully I will have more cards to post soon.

I will be updating my fall card classes later this week so be sure to check out my Stampin Up website to check them out!

Bold Butterfly....

I know I am neglecting my blog again but hopefully I will be on the ball more. I have some new stamp sets from the new catalogue coming this week and I am sure I will have all kinds of new stuff to post. I've been so busy this past week getting ready for my open house that I've neglected my designing duties!

Speaking of my open house a HUGE thiank you to all of you who came out. I think the best part of my job is that I get to be around all of you on a regular basis.

Congratulations to Anne B for winning the door prize!

My next class is my Color Crazy class on July 23rd. There are still two spaces available. The deadline for ordering the class with the ink pads is past but the 10 card class is still available for $25. If you would like the class with all 5 new in colour ink pads and assorted in colour cardstock pack it is $55 but the ink pads/paper won't be in until after the class. Details of the class below!

Happiest Birthday Wishes...

Here is a card made using my favourite hostess set in the new catalogue, Happiest Birthday Wishes. In fact this catalogue is so full of fabulous birthday stamp sets that my August class is devoted to birthday cards so be su.re to sign up for that.

This card was made with the brand new in colours of Indigo Island and Pool Party. Other than that it's a pretty simple and basic card with the main image stamped with black craft ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.

Don't forget my New Catalogue Extravaganza is this coming Saturday...I can't wait! I will be posting more about it tomorrow and sending an e-mail out to all of you on my mailing list

Happy Stampin Up New Year!

Yes the new catalogue begins today....woo hoo! And it is fabulous. There is so much I love and I can't wait to start shopping!

This is a card I made with a bunch of new stuff from the new catalogue. It's not an original card, I saw one like this somewhere on the internet and basically copied it but I can't remember where I saw it. The stamp sets I used are Pennant Parade and Happiest Birthday Wishes (a hostess set) The Pennant Parade has a super awesome Petite Pennants Builder Punch to match so no cutting out! The colours I used are the new in colours of Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade and Pool Party.

Here is a one day offer to any of you who are doing nothing today and read my blog regularily. I will be home all day today so if you feel like taking a drive out here today I will give you your catalogue today instead of making you wait until my New Catalogue Extravaganza next weekend. This is for TODAY only!

Sunny Fun

Sorry my blog has been neglected for a few days but it has been a super busy week. On the weekend we brought some orphaned baby squirrels to the Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary which was a super awesome trip (it's in Rosseau, between Huntsville and Parry Sound.) We saw some owls, wolves, bears and a lioness. If you are ever out that way you should check it out. It's a great charity that does awesome work with rehabilitating wildlife.

It's the first day of summer, yippee, so I thought this would be the perfect card to post. I just love the Sunny Fun stamp set from the Summer Mini and if you love bright colours and love to colour I am sure it will be a favourite of yours. The "you're invited" sentiment is from Family Phrases which is retiring at the end of June.

My last order out of the current catalogue will be going in on June 25th. If there is anything off teh retiring list you want be sure to order it then so you don't miss out!

Retiring Party Hearty

Here is a card I did at a recent class using the soon to be retired Party Hearty stamp set. The one thing I really love about this stamp set is how gender neutral the set is. You can use it to make cards for all the men and women in your life as well as for children.

For this card I used Baja Breeze, Peach Parfait and Whisper White. The "wishing you..." sentiment is from the "On Your Birthday" stamp set. Also in this card is Patterns Designer Paper, Rhinestone Jewels (can I even make a card without these?) and Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.

Congratulations to CeeJay who won my draw for the Button Greeting stamp set and ribbons in my class contest below. Thank you all for your suggestions and I will be keeping them in mind as a plan out my classes for the rest of the year.

A Flower for all Seasons....

I spent some time last week making some super quick and simple thank you notes with the very cute "A Flower for All Seasons" stamp set that will be retiring soon. I coloured the image using the ink from my classic ink pads and a blender pen. The 'thank you' sentiment is from the stamp set "For all you Do" (which is not retiring)

Don't forget my July 9th New catalogue extravaganza is coming up soon and you will need to RSVP if you want the free goody bag and free make and take cards. I will be posting more info on this event later this week!

Pun Fun

Say goodbye to Pun Fun because it isn't in the next catalogue. This stamp set is still available for purchase until June 30th but it will not be available after that.

This card was made with Real Red, Tangerine Tango and Baja Breeze. The punched border made was made with the Scallop Edge Border. All I did was "miss" when lining it up so it creates more of a pinking shear look. Also used on this card was Baja Breze patterns designer paper, Perfect Polka dots embossing folder and white brads.

Last Chance List

Stampin Up had announced it's retirement list for the catalogue. If you would like to see the complete lists please click HERE. Stamp sets are available until the end of June but accessories are only available while supplies last.

Today card is made with one of my soon to be missed stamp sets Great Friend. The butterflies were inked with Tempting Turquoise and Pacific Point Craft inks and the embossed with clear embossing powder. I then cut them out and applied a strip of Rhinestone jewels to the center. I finished the card off with a sentiment from Curly Cute (which is not retiring thank goodness!)

Clean and Simple

Today scard is a super clean and simple card using the butterfly from the Strength and Hope stamp set. I always have the urge to keep adding to a card but on this one I forced myself to stop, allowing the butterfly to be the primary focus. The butterfly was inked witH Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango Craft inks and embossed with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder. I then added three Rhinestone Jewels to the center. Confetti and Word Play

This is a super simple card but it is using two of my most used sets (at least lately!) Confetti is a fun little set of background stamps that are super easy to make background paper with. Word Play of course is just awesome (and on sale until May 31st!)

The colours I used on this card are Pear Pizzazz, Marina Mist and Basic Gray. Normally on this card I would have used Early Espresso, which is my normal "go-to" neutral colour but my Basic Gray is quite neglected so I pulled that out. The sentiment was coloured with Stampin Write Markers and the image was "huffed" on before stamping it on the whisper white cardstock.

Don't forget that May 31st is your last day to enter the Retirement Stamp set contest to win the brand new Level one hostess set Swirls and Curls Verses. Check out my May 17th blog post for more details.

Strength and Hope

So far I think I have been doing a much better job at keeping my blog updated so hopefully this trend continues. I made quite a few cards in the past two weeks since there was so much good tv on thanks to the Season Finale's (Yay Boston Rob and Hines for winning Survivor and Dancing with the Stars!!) Now there is no new tv there may be not be anymore new cards...LOL!

This is a card I made using the butterfly from the Strength and Hope stamp set in the Summer Mini catalogue. I also used En Francais and stamps from the Elements of Style stamp sets. The colours I used were Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant and Very Vanilla. I used the Sizzix Clear Circle die and Scallop Circle die. For embellishments I used some Pearl Jewels (I am totally addicted to these and the Rhinestone Jewels) and Old Olive Grosgrain.

Retiring Stamp Set Contest

It's that time of year again when soon we will be saying good bye to some of the stamp sets in the catalogue. On June 1st the list of retiring stamp sets will be posted and we will see what is staying and what is going.

Reply to this post (by clicking on the title "Retiring Stamp Set Contest") and post 25 ***stamp sets that you think will be leaving us for good in the comments section. You just need to type in the PROPER stamp set name as shown in the catalogue. If you don't type the proper name it WON'T count as a guess. Please be sure to add your name to the post entry or I will have no idea who posted it. Please remember comments do not post until I approve them so it make take a day to see your post!

***stamp sets only, no wheels or accessories.

The Prize will be a brand new wood mounted Swirls and Curls Verses stamp set (the Level 1 hostess set in the Summer Mini, page 4) The person who has the most right will win the stamp set. In the event of a tie or someone (like Irene) copying and pasting someone's list exactly, the person who posted their list first will win!

Todays card is a card I did with some classrooms this year for Mother's day. I changed this one to use the hostess set you could win by entering this contest; Swirls and Curls stamp set. I also used the Confetti stamp set, Sweetheart stamp set and the Fancy Flower punch.

Sunny Fun

I am so deeply ashamed that I have not been updating my blog at all but due to numerous complaints that some of you out there do read it (although I know some of you only look at the pictures...LOL) I will make a much bigger effort to post something every day this week. I spent today stamping so I would have a few new things to post over the next week!

This card was made with the new set Sunny Fun out of the new Summer Mini. If you like to colour this is a fun stamp set to have.

The colours I used on this card are Real Red, Tempting Turquoise and Daffodil Delight. Also used on this card is the Build A Bear Pawsitively Prints Designer Paper, Polka Dots embossing Folder and a Daffodil Delight Button.

Eat Chocolate

One of my favourite sets from the Occasions Mini catalogue "Eat Chocolate" is the perfect stamp set for making little goodies to give away. This one was made with the Pillow Box die and Big Shot Machine. I also used one of my favourite colour combination of pink and brown (in this case Blushing Bride and Early Espresso. The Decorative Labe Punch gives it the perfect finishing touch.

Happy April Fools Day! So far I haven't been an April Fool but there is still time.

Be sure to check out the Clearance Rack on my Stampin Up Website. It's been updated with all kinds of new Clearance Items including Grab Bags which look like lots of fun. Sale-a-bration's Sweet Summer

Sweet Summer is such a wonderful stamp set and I am sad that it is not part of the regular catalogue and will be gone after today (the end of Sale-a-bration) This card was made with the colours of Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White. The embellishments are Rich Razzleberry brads and a Rich Razzleberry button. The entire flower image was stamped, coloured, and I then pressed a Versamark Watermark ink pad over the whole piece of paper and embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder.

Today is the last day of Sale-a-bration and the last day you can place an order for $60 or more and get free Sale-a-bration items. Click on the link to the right to place your order online today!
