Playful Petals....
I have been having some fun playing with the Playful Petals stamp sets, its so much fun to colour. This flower was coloured with Almost Amethyst and Lavender Lace Stampin Write markers. The leaves were coloured with certainly Celery. The card is finished off with Tea Party Designer Paper, a scallop edge punch and the Just For you stamp from the Oval All stamp set in the Mini catalogue. Because we have no amethyst ribbon I dyed the white grosgrain using an Almost Amethyst ink refill (just a few drops) and my Aquapainter.
Congratulations to Anne who wins the Note of Thanks Mini Note kit. I will be dropping that off the next chance I get. Be sure to keep watching for more freebies.

I love this little saying from the Fifth Avenue Floral Stamp Set (the flower is from that stamp set as well) It's perfect for almost any occassion. But the new "In Colours" should be revealed soon and I am sure I will fall in love with them as well. Be sure to vote in My "In Colour poll. I would love to know which colours you will miss.

Playful Petals...
This is a card I made this morning using the Playful Petals and Full of Life (on the dormant list, still available to order even though it is not pictured in the Spring Summer Catalogue) and Tea Party Designer Series Paper. The flowers are embossed with white embossing powder and the "Life Is.." stamp is stamped with Basic Gray. I used Regal Rose wide grosgrain ribbon and silver eyelets to finish off the card.
Post a comment under this post (click on the title, "Playful Petals" to post a comment) and I will do a draw on Wednesday May 20th, 8am, for one person to win the Patterns Pack Designer Series Paper II (pictured on page 18 in the Spring Summer Catalogue) This is a 6 x6 pad of Patterns Designer Series Paper in Regal Rose, Apricot Appeal, Brocade Blue, Basic Gray and Garden Green. It includes 60 sheets, 2 each of 6 double-sided designs. This contest is only open to my current customers and only comments posted under this post will count as an entry, no e-mails please.

Red Bloomin Beautiful
Bloomin Beautiful...again. I hope you all aren't getting bored! I will work hard to post some other stuff but the flower in this stamp set is just so gorgeous and lots of fun to colour! The colours I used on this card are Whisper White Real Red, Summer Sun and Certainly Celery. The bee stamp and the Red Gingham ribbon add the perfect touch!
There is still room left in my Spring Fling Class. I will be doing a draw to give away all five of my class samples! 5 people will leave with one extra project. See all the details for the class on my May 8th post!

Retirement List Contest

Ok this is your chance to predict the future and win a great prize.
As many of you know on June 1st Stampin Up will announce it's retirement list. This is a list of stamp sets that will not make it into the new catalogue starting on July 1st (although this stamp sets will be available until June 30th)
E-mail me a list of 25 stamp sets in the Spring Summer catalogue that you think will retire with the words "Retirement Contest" in the subject line. The person with the most right will win a $25 gift certificate! All e-mail entries must be in to me by May 30th at 5pm and this contest is only open to my current customers. I will confirm when I receive your e-mail. The person with the most right will win! I will announce the winner on my blog on June 1st!
Happy guessing!
Live Love and Laugh...
I thought I would post a card with gold embossing for a change. I'm not a big "embosser" but I do love the look of it when I do pull out my heat tool. This card was made with the Forever Flowers wheel and the Live, Laugh & Love stamp in the It's Your Birthday stamp set. Both were stamped with Versamark watermark and embossed with gold. The colouring on the Forever Flowers was done with a Ruby Red and Mellow Moss Stampin Write Markers.
I think this card layout and colourse would look great re-done with Christmas stamps, something I am sure to do later this year once we know which stamps are staying and which are going!
Congratulations to Irene L who won the Regal Rose Craft ink pad and ink refill. I will give them to her the next time I see her. Be sure to be paying attention to my blog to see my next giveaway!

Bloomin Beautiful yet again! Club Card
Another card we did at our club meeting two weeks ago. Of course I used my new favourite stamp set, Bloomin Beautiful! On this card I used the Top Note die with some Walk in the Park Designer Paper (which you could get FREE if you purchase three other designer papers this month!) The poppies are coloured with Ruby Red and Cameo Coral Stampin Write markers and a Blender Pen with Kiwi Kiss ink. The black brads, ribbon and card base make everything pop!
Ok we are going to try this give-a-away again. This time just send me an e-mail to enter you into the contest to win a free Regal Rose Craft ink pad and ink refill. I think my e-mail is working again since I am now receiving junk e-mail and this will be a great way to test it. Just put Regal Rose Craft ink pad in the subject line. You have until tomorrow night to send me an e-mail and I will do a draw Tuesday morning. I will send a quick response to you when I get your e-mail so if you don't hear from me, try again.

Club Card - Great Friend and Oval All...
This is one of the cards we did at our April club meeting using a technique called Faux silk (it basically gived the look of raw silk when you see it in person!) I used the Great friends and Oval All stamp sets from the Occasions mini catalogue. The ink colours we used were Regal Rose, Kiwi Kiss, Pretty in Pink and Pink Pirouette. The patterned paper is from Bella Rose (am I going to miss this paper or what. I hope they save the design and just change the colours in the new catalogue this summer!) We also used a corner ticket punch and the new scallop oval punch in the Occasions mini.

Wonderful Watercolours
As soon as I saw this stamp set in the catalogue I knew this was a must have for me, daisies are my absolute favourite flowers (followed by tulips and daffodils in case you were wondering) It's a two step stamping set, which means there is an outline image and a solid image and the stamp set has a bit of a learning curve to use. Unless of course you already own a Stamp-a-ma-jig, which makes stamping this card a breeze. To make this card I used Certainly Celery, Barley Banana and Apricot Appeal which look very fresh and "springy" to me. I also used the Eyelet Border punch as well as Basic Gray Classic ink for the sentiment.

Bloomin Beautiful Again....
This is my new favourite card with my new favourite stamp set. The Cameo Coral (a very neglected colour in my collection) and the Basic Black are a stunning colour combination (in my own opinion) The flower is stamped with Black Staz On three times and coloured with Cameo Coral, Ruby Red, Close to Cocoa and Mellow Moss Stampin Write Markers. The word "bloom" is embossed with white embossing powder and the black and white gingham ribbon adds the perfect touch to the card.

Blooming With Love...Club card
This card is one of the cards my club did with the stamp set "Blooming With Love" It's almost Mother's Day so I figured I should squeeze at least one card in before the big event. This stamp set is so much fun to colour (something I am really loving to do lately) We used Stampin Write markers to colour the flowers but we used an Aquapainted with Going Gray Classic ink to colour the wheelbarrow. The card base was made with Going Gray textured cardstock and the cardstock layers were So Saffron and Pretty in Pink. I used Natural White cardstock because it is a bit heavier than Whisper White and takes the watercolouring well without warping.

Bloomin Beautiful...
This is just one of the many new cards I have made this week with my new stamp set Bloomin Beautiful from the catalogue. It's been in the catalogue for over a year and I just kept passing it by, but one of my customers ordered it and seeing it in person made me realize just how gorgeous this set is. If you love to colour you are going to LOVE this stamp set. I have been having so much fun playing with it, so much in fact, I revamped one of my cards for this weekends stampers group just so we could use this set!
Supplies Used to Make this card:
- Bloomin Beautiful stamp set
- Thinking of You stamp set ("For you")
- Silver Hodgepodge
- Almost Amethyst, Mellow Boss and Lovely Lilac Stampin Write markers
- Staz on Black ink
- Loverly Lilac Classic Ink
- White Tafetta ribbon
- Lovely Lilac, Whisper White and Lavender Lace cardstock

Flight of the Butterfly ....
If you love butterflies you are going to love this stamp set as much as I do. I just love the two step stamping ( you can pick polka dots of flowers to layer overtop of the solid butterfly) and it has great swirly verses to use with the butterflies. On this card I also used Tangerine Tango Designer Series paper and a daisy flower I cut out with my Big Shot and the Flower, Daisies #2 die.
Butterflies have been my big "rage" this spring and I am loving the butterflies in this stamp set, Simple Friendship, Great Friend (from the Occasions mini) and God's Beauty (the level one hostess set) I'll try not to let all my other stamp sets feel neglected though!

Simply Said....
Here is an oldie but a goodie stamp set. It's been around for years now and yet when every retirement list comes out, it's never on it. It's been awhile since I pulled it out and made some cards with it so here is a card I made this week. While I think this stamp set looks great in all colours I think it looks fabulous using the nice bright colours from the Bold Brights colour family. I stamped the image in black and then coloured it in with markers from the Bold Bright family. To do the polka dot strip I coloured the dots on the Polka Dot background stamp (not in the catalogue but still available to order) with markers, huffed and then stamped.
