For All You Do...Melon Mambo
This card was super easy to make. I used the "For All You Do" stamp set with the bright and fun colour combination of Melon Mambo and Gable Green. The half pearls in the center of the flowers are from the Pretties Kit.
Watch tomorrow for a preview of one of the cards we will be making at my Sparkly and Bright Christmas Card Class in November.

Sweet Centers Shimmer Card....
The shimmer is the fun part. I put Frost White Shimmer paint (page 27 in the Holiday Mini) into a mini spritzer (I dipped a popsicle stick into the paint and scraped what was on it into the spritzer) and filled the spritzer up with rubbing alcohol. I then spritzed all the paper seperately before putting the treat cup in and finishing the card. All the different shimmer paints give a completely different look when spritzed. All you need is a fine mist spray bottle and some rubbing alcohol.
I am putting an order this Sunday, October 4th if there is anything you need. Please be sure to e-mail me s-pdavid@sympatico.ca before then if you want to add to this order.

Peppermint Pattie Spider treats....
These are the cutest little spiders, and I HATE spiders so the fact that they don't creep me out says a lot. They were super easy to make. All you need is some Basic Black and Old Olive or Basic Black and Pumpkin Pie cardstock, a Scallop Circle punch and a Photo Corners Punch. They were super easy to put together with some Tombow glue and of course the peppermint patties.

Simple Friendship Butterflies
I know most of you aren't crazy about cutting but the butterflies look fabulous this way. If you have the right scissors (Paper Snips) and you practice, practice, practice you will get better at it. I think it adds a lot to your work to perfect this skill.

Autumn Harvest....
The stamp set I used was Autumn Harvest, which I just love because it also comes with the Jack-o-lantern face to stamp on the pumpkins. I coloured the pumpkins, squash and leaf using SU watercolour pencil crayons and the aquapainter (the image was stamped on watercolour paper) I also used Teeny Tine Wishes for the sentiment and the Sanded background stamp on the card.

Over the next few months I will post more cards and hopefully give you a lot more idea's for filling the treat cups.

Dreams du Jour
On this card I used Not Quite Navy and Soft Suede together along with Bella Bleu designer paper. The butterflies were stamped with Not Quite Navy Classic ink and coloured with a blender pen (which picks up ink from the image) to create a softer shade of Not Quite Navy. The Happy Birthday stamp is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and punched out with the Modern Label punch.

Beary Best Friends...
Sometimes I like to make quick little cards to put in her lunch kit so she gets them at school, this is one of them. I just coloured the bear with markers and a blender pen and the patterened paper is from the Pawsitively Prints out of the Holiday mini. Even if you don't love the bear the paper is great for cards of all occasions!

Inspired by Nature...
I do love this beautiful flower. It looks hard to ink but actually I found a super easy way to ink it with all the different colours.
First I got a sponge dauber (page 192 in the catalogue) put it on my finger and dipped it into a Summer Sun Classic ink pad and daubed it onto the petals.
I then took a different dauber (you can just rince the original dauber and pat dry if you want to re-use it), dipped it into a Ruby Red classic ink pad and daubed overtop the Summer Sun.
I took a third dauber, inked it with Old Olive and daubed the stem
Finally I daubed the center of the coneflower with Close to Cocoa ink.
It was super easy and all the ink went where it was suppose to go. You could use markers too but this gives a softer more blended look. I finished this card off with lots of paper piercing (done using the Mat Pack on page 191 in the catalogue)

Nursery Necessities
Well I made it home safe and sound from PEI yesterday. We left half a day early because of Bill and there was no way I was going over the Confederation Bridge if it was going to be really windy! I miss it already and can't wait to go back next summer!

Delightful Decorations Class

I finally updated my class schedule on my Stampin Up Website past September and this is the first class coming up in October. I absolutely fell in love with this stamp set when I saw it in the new Holiday Mini catalogue you should all be receiving any day in the next week. I think one of the best things about it is the matching punch, rubons (not pictured) and jumbo wheel (not pictured) Of course I am sure you will all love the punch because although I love cutting things out I know a lot of you don't!

Baroque Motifs
One of my favourite techniques, that I learned recently, is is crushing the jumbo eyelets (with a Crop-a-Dile) and just attaching to your card by looping and tying ribbon through them. It is so much easier than punching a hole and setting the eyelet because this way you can put the eyelet anywhere. Plus it makes the ribbon easier to tie which I know many of you appreciate.
Supplies used to make this card:
- Baroque Motifs stamp set
- Mellow Moss, Very Vanilla cardstock
- Mellow Moss Classic Ink
- Pretty in Pink Stampin Write Marker (for colouring flowers)
- Pretties Kit (flowers)
- Mellow Moss, Very Vanilla Taffeta
- Antique Brass Jumbo Eyelet

Leaf Lines card....
What I really love about this card is the textured background I made with the Big Shot and the Sizzix Stampin Up Perfect Details Texturz plate! I then pierced it to give it a totally different look!
Totally off topic, we had a Garage sale this morning at my parents and although we got rid of lots of stuff we still have lots of DVD's left (obviously we buy too many...lol!) Mary is saving her money for a DSI so if anyone is interested please let me know! We were selling them for $5 but I will sell them for $4 each or 3 for $10. Please e-mail me and let me know!

Some words of advice:
When you are outside drinking your coffee in your Timmies travel mug be sure to look at the mug before you take a drink. Because I failed to do this I now have several ant bites on my lip and tongue. Nothing like a mouth full of ants to teach you this very valuable lesson. Plus me spitting and trying to scrape the ants out of my mouth with my shirt probably scared off some garage sale shoppers!

Season of Friendship..
Words cannot express how happy I was to see this stamp set in the new catalogue! It originated in the Holiday Mini (2008) and as many of you know most sets from mini's do not make the big catalogue.
For this cards I used Ruby Red, Mellow Moss and Close to Cocoa inks and cardstock. The flowers were stamped on a seperate piece of cardstock, cut out, and placed onto the tree to give the card some dimension (which you can't really see in this scan). The "Birthday Wishes" sentiment is from the Sincere Salutations stamp set. I finished the card off with Mellow Moss Tafetta ribbon.
Stampin Up Deal of the Week:
Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware, page 178, regular price $41.95, sale price this week only $26.99! This is the time to get it if you want this wonderful box of embellishments. Contact me before Saturday to get yours!

Happy New Baby....
Isn't the baby cute? I love this little card I made using the All in the Family and Family Phrases stamp sets. They are so much fun to play with. I also used the Polka Dot backgrounds stamp(still available although it's not pictured in the catalogue) I used our circle punches, scallop circle punch and the new Modern Label punch which is totally cool! I used the new in colour Melon Mambo as well as Whisper White and Pretty in Pink on this card.
Post a comment on this card and I will do a draw on Friday July 10th (8am) to win a set of 12 In Colour blank cards (two of each colour) and envelopes.

Embrace Life....
I am starting new Stampers clubs in the fall. I will also be starting a new blog just for the members of the stampers club with club projects, instructions as well as some other goodies. If you haven't signed up yet or would like to know more (than what is posted below!) Please contact me!
What is a Stamper Club?
· Do you spend $25 a month on stamping supplies?
· Would you like to get hostess rewards?
· Do you like getting together with friends and making new friends?
· Do you like to make FREE cards?
How a stampers club works is there is a group of eight people who agree to spend $25 (before shipping and tax) out of the catalogue each month for eight months. For one of those months you get to be the hostess and get a minimum $20 free out of the catalogue and a Level 1 hostess set (starting on page 11 in the new catalogue).
Each month we meet either at the hostess’ house or mine where we will make a minimum of two card/projects (this is free!). Hostesses also receive free shipping on their hostess month and I give a discount on some of my other classes I offer outside of the club

Christmas in July....
I will also be doing a draw for all attendees to win a retired but new in box Holiday Collections stamp set. The cost for this class is $30.

Flight of the Butterfly
This is a card similar to one I saw in a magazine awhile back but I changed a few things and re-created it with the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set. I stamped and embossed it on vellum and then used sponge daubers to apply Green Galore, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay ink to the back. When that was dry I carefully cut them out and glued them (just a tiny strip of glue in the center so you don't see the glue through the vellum) onto white cardstock squares that were layered with the co-ordinating colours. I glued little half pearls from the Pretties kit in the center. I think this card is really bright and summery. The best part is that it will be the last time I will have to trim stamped images from this set because there is now a Butterfly Punch (page 187 in the new catalogue) that works perfectly with this set and mine will be here next week!
I would like to thank everyone who came out to my new Catalogue Extravaganza on Saturday. I had a great time and I hope you all did too! The winner of my grand door prize was Mona M! Congratulations Mona! There were a few stamp sets that did not sell in my auction so I thought I would draw names for some of those so I can pass them on to a new home! So below are a list of winners!

- Josee S. - Congratulations stamp set
- Tina C - Darling Dots stamp set
